We are recruiting our future Application Engineer with awesome working experience and expertise of Electric & Electronic Components within an engineering and manufacturing environment
Role based in Pontchateau, France with 2 days home office per week
Fluent French & English is mandatory
Occasional international travel (mainly to HQ in Czechia)
As our Application Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, sizing and specifying of electric & electronic components and sub-systems of Bobcat machines, including Telehandlers. You will also be responsible for creation and execution of validation plan of E&E sub-systems in NPD projects to meet performance and reliability targets, while keeping project schedule, cost and quality constraints
Role & Responsibilities
Design
• Electrical architecture and components and in particular complex and mobile machinery oriented harnesses
• Concept design & initial calculations
• System development plan : schedule, budget
• Follow up on simulation, lab testing & field test
• Component requirements documents compilation
• Development follow up at supplier
• Risk analysis and system DFMEA lead
• Ensure adequation between the design and the manufacturing requirements
• Supervise and assess design engineer´s outputs:
=> 3D, 2D, schematics, stack up, design packaging
Validation
• Elaborate validation plans
• Support and analyze test results
• Involved in prototype assembly phase to check and correct design accordingly
• Involved in supplier technical discussions
Support
• Support by providing expertise inside and outside engineering (other product design functions, marketing, aftermarket, manufacturing, quality, production)
• Provide support for test proving ground, laboratory testing and support troubleshooting
Innovation
• Proposal to improve quality of engineering team deliverables
• Develop tools and processes to improve risk management, machine quality and cost
Your Profile
• Engineer’s Degree in Electric&Electronics field or equivalent
Experience Required:
• 3 years+ experience in E&E design and engineering
• Fluent in English & French
Knowledge & Skills
• Electric & Mechanical engineering in mobile applications
• CAD skills (Creo Preferred)
• Working knowledge of systems – specifically bills of material structure and organization of models and options
• Precision/care in auto control of his work
• Knowledge of engineering practices and standards
