THE ROLE : Reporting to the FinOps manager, the cloud project management officier & FinOps will be responsible for building and monitoring the cloud department's budget and ensuring compliance with the purchasing and billing processes.

As an integral part of the FinOps teams he/she will also support the control of Cloud spent and ensure coherency on overall budget.

More widely, the PMO will be involved in various areas of responsibility, this includes: Developing and implementing budget & forecast management best practices

Support FinOps activities via budget monitoring, forecast estimations and understanding of cloud bills

Tight follow-up of project governance : meetings, minutes, action plans ; Prompt analysis of situations and restitution through effective presentations

Tasks and responsibilities will evolve during the different phases of the onboarding; therefore, it is important to be agile in terms of work methodology and be a strong team player.

RESPONSIBILITIES : Build and define the annual budget in relation with all the managers of the department on the basis of the identified needs as well as the results of previous years

Build and implement cloud financial controls.

Build and update reports to monitor the consumption of the different cost centers of the cloud, identify and centralize all costs of other services related to the cloud, monitor time sheets

Maintain the forecasts of the various cost centers and ensure that the projections respect the limits of the allocated budgets

Provide several times a year a budget landing composed of committed amounts, forecasts, and unused budgets

Guarantee and monitor the payment of invoices in accordance with CMA CGM procedures by ensuring that the information is entered into the various tools

Prepare, renew and follow up the validation of purchase requests

Support the teams in the creation of projects and the allocation of time allocation authorizations in the dedicated management tool

Ensure knowledge of the various purchasing, invoicing and budget management processes, the PMO must work jointly with the Procurement, Purchasing, Finance and Governance teams in order to be the single point of contact for the Cloud teams and external partners

Assist in the management of the service centers (organization of Steering Committees, Operational Committees, monitoring and validation of work units and actions, compliance with the contract and processes,...)

Coordinate project resources.

Work with IT Product Managers, Operations Managers and Service Teams to always improve services financial performance and to identify and realize opportunities to reduce cloud costs and provide related reporting.

Support consumers in understanding their cloud bills based on their business goals and budget.

Support the teams in the implementation of reporting and monitoring of activities and cloud consumption.

Work with Operations teams to create and implement a tagging and alert strategy for cloud resource billing.

Support consumers in understanding their cloud bills based on their business goals and budget.

Utilizing both Cloud native and third-party cost management toolsets to drive commercial and cost avoidance optimisations across Cloud estates

Planning and executing Cloud savings plans, reservations and commitment-based savings plans.

Identifying consumption trends and future capacity needs of engineering teams ; Building, maintaining, and improving custom reports and dashboards to deliver weekly/monthly cost reporting

Detecting and highlighting anomalies in Cloud usage, working with engineering teams to understand these anomalies.

Work with the teams at the start of the design to best adjust the cost risk and operational needs.

Define, track and report performance indicators for our cloud consumptions and our department

Support ROI and TCO exercise of the cloud transformation program

PROFILE AND QUALIFICATIONS : Proven experience in budget
