Site Reliability Engineer - Travel agents applications

On this role, you will be working on projects as well as day to day operational activities aimed to ensure the reliability of the customer management (CM) application. This application is used daily by thousands of users and is a key priority for Amadeus to ensure the quality and continuity of our business!

You will be involved specifically in what we call the Front-office area, which is our product range dedicated to the travel agents and helps our customers access a very smart, reliable, and easy-to-use tool to book millions of travels every year. Your main goals and tasks will be:

Maintain Amadeus distribution services on the cloud by measuring and monitoring system health, availability, latency, and all operability criteria

Coordinate incident response, post-incident investigation and practice follow-up/post mortems reports

Engage continuous improvement of the whole product and platform lifecycle through development design, deployment, operations and refinement

Adapt and improve the monitoring, alerting, log management, auto-recovery (Prometheus, Splunk, Grafana, ...) to meet our SLAs/OLAs

Coordinate, review and support major releases/technical changes with application owners and middleware organizations

Optimize on-call rotations and processes for all supported applications

Specific accountabilities:

You will manage application operations for Amadeus Core Services end to end

You will manage the full application stack (OS, Data Bases and Data Stores, Application, Links, vNW and the corresponding support functions according to the agreed service levels (internal & external) Service Automation

You will manage and execute change, release and test processes and drive automation of these processes

Problem & Incident Management: you will capitalize on functional and technical knowledge to lead the activity and perform at the highest level

You will contribute to building a healthy and collaborative environment, leading by example.

Our ideal candidate Are you:

An experienced SRE engineer with at least 3 years of practice in this type of role?

Used to work in international environments and you speak fluent English?

Experience with Unix/Linux and cloud systems

Experience in programming in Java, Groovy, Python and building tools

Experience in designing and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems

Ability to debug, optimize and automate routine tasks

Systematic problem-solving approach
