Through the economic and social empowerment of local communities and the introduction of sustainable development initiatives at the agricultural level, PUR seeks to address climate change, while regenerating and preserving the ecosystems upon which these supply chains depend. Many of PUR's projects fall within the categories of insetting, regenerative agriculture, agroforestry, forest conservation and landscape restoration. The Lead Data Analyst will help us define data pipelines and architecture alongside the Data Engineers and also use out data to get insights on our Nature/Technology Based Solutions (NBS/TBS), focusing on providing an increase in Data Quality for the collected data, and identifying patterns to reach data-driven decisions on company level, synthesizing the work done on dashboards that can be leveraged to help the acceleration of PUR’s growth. You will have to ensure that our data stack captures, stores, and processes field reality in the best possible way. Your focus will be to build and release the tools used by all teams, the Executive Committee, and some external stakeholders, to make data-informed decisions, finding out the best way to provide and facilitate insights.

Your responsibilities will include in a non-exhaustive manner:

  • Helping to consolidate data from diverse sources and different types inside our data schema and pipeline,
  • Conceive and build, with the support of the Product Managers, dashboards synthesizing our Project performance to internal and external stakeholders,
  • Help plan the technical roadmap and architectural evolutions as the company grows and require more robust, more complex data pipelines,
  • Create A/B tests and designing experiments if necessary to aid our development team,
  • Suggest recommendations to improve field data collection and overall data quality based on analytical insights and investigation,
  • Define, with support of the Data Team, NBS performance indicators, sharing strategic and tactical recommendations,
  • Providing technical guidance and training to the team to consolidate tech careers at PUR, while also being at ease with learning continuously yourself to keep the team and the stack updated with the latest technical tools - as long as they make sense for us!
  • Our current tech stack is DBT, Snowflake, PowerBI, Airflow, Airbyte
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a Data Analyst / Data Scientist position,
  • Ability to break work into technical tasks to accomplish a user story or technical requirement,
  • Capacity to communicate with both technical and non-technical teams with ease,
  • Proficiency in quality by design standards,
  • Understanding of business expectations and the ability to link them to corporate strategy,
  • Understanding of data governance,
  • Some experience in Sustainability or Impact (or a least a strong interest),
  • Fluent in English. French and Spanish would be an asset.
  • Able to come 3x to the office per week minimum - this is not a full remote position.
