As a future Senior Derivatives Analyst, you will report to our Head of Derivatives Support and you will be part of the Investment Support team.

Our main mission is to onboard, control and support the operational platform of AXA IM, focusing on Derivatives. We ensure that these operational services are consistent and efficient for AXA IM and its clients around the world whatever the external service provider to whom it may be delegated. We also support AXA IM development through direct services.

Your role and responsibilities will notably include: Derivatives Support team manage OTC derivatives activity (multi cross Asset) with 3 major pilars: 1- OTC Derivatives Pricing:

  • Financial reports inventory production for AXA group entities
  • OTC Derivatives pricing within derivatives system and quantitive pricing library
  • Validation of OTC Cash flows (and accruals)
  • OTC sensitivies and stress stess scenarii computation
  • Evidence of hedging efficiency.

2- Collateral Management and Counterparty risk monitoring:

  • Daily monitoring and oversight of Collateral activity
  • Daily follow-up of collateral Disputes with counterparties
  • Daily monitoring of residual exposures and counterparty limits consumption
  • Monthly reporting of counterparty risk calculation based on OTC sensitivies.

3- Controls on EMIR requirements:

  • Daily reconciliation and matching of OTC positions with counterparties
  • Daily valuations controls and reconciliation of AXA IM internal valuations versus counterparties
  • Timely confirmation monitoring and paper confirmation signatory
  • EMIR Refit controls and clearing obligation implementation and monitoring.

Derivatives Analyst will contribute and partipate into projects involving Derivatives processes:

  • Regulatory projects (ie EMIR, AIFMD)
  • Projects to improve and industrialize processes in the context of the asset management of client portfolios
  • Contribute and support new business (new strategy, new products, new clients)

Under this role and while always performing in line with AXA IM Risk Control Framework, the Derivatives Analyst will act as an expert point of contact for

  • Any middle and back office inquiries / escalations / requests related to Derivatives, raised by Front Office, clients and others ;
  • Resolving operational issues, develop preventive set ups and document procedures ;
  • Taking initiatives to implement best practices, secure processes, automate controls, targeting operational efficiency and reliability ;
  • Supporting business development with adequate flexibility in order to promote simplification, lowering costs and operational risks in the medium/long term.

Your Profile

SHARE your unique expertise

We welcome different combinations of skills and experiences.

  • Master degree in Finance

  • 10 or more years of work experience in Asset management or investment banking in relation with:

  • OTC Derivatives pricing and sensitivies calculation.

  • Collateral managment process and exposure controls

  • Good understanding of Front to Back processes on OTC Derivatives environment.

  • Participation in operational projetcs

Knowledge and Skills

  • Skills and knowledge of financial products and in particular OTC derivatives and their pricing model.
  • Ablility to work in a team environment as well as individually.
  • Strong skills in Excel are required (VBA knowledge is a plus)
  • SimCorp and Bloomberg
  • SQL
  • Communication oral and written, mainly in English
  • Strong professionalism, interpersonal skills with client centric mindset
  • Analysis capacity - Attention to details
  • Flexibility and Ability to work in a challenging environment with fixed deadlines.
