Position Summary

The role of the Project Manager Lead will be to deliver the end to end process within the artwork and reprographics sector through Project Management, and is specifically designed to ensure SGS connects internal teams to deliver artwork/repro on time and in full.

The individual will proactively manage the client’s expectations, ensuring on time delivery. Working closely with all stakeholders and graphic service partners to ensure an aligned approach on delivery of all projects.

The individual will be responsible for taking a lead in the Project Management team and have an overview across all categories. They will positively support all functions working in a fast-paced environment. They will be a key point of contact internally and externally.

The individual will also monitor resource coverage across a team of experienced internal Project Managers and interact with production teams to create an efficient working environment, understanding priorities and achieving best outcome.

Through accurate reporting they will recommend the best approach to achieve the clients desired results, highlighting risks and engaging support. Being commercially aware and responsive to client goals is essential.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Working with the Project Management team to ensure all artwork and prepress projects are planned, executed and delivered in a professional manner

• Providing support and guidance to the Project Management team through working to and promoting best practice (4/5 direct reports)

• Working with the full client team to help develop and implement and standardised working practices

• Manage both client and internal meeting attendance across team

• Provide up to date and timely reporting internally and externally regarding status updates and critical path plans

• Build and maintain a strong positive working relationship between the Project Management team and encourage efficient and accurate working practices between the team and all SGS production sites

• Build and maintain relationships of trust with all client teams and suppliers, providing support and advice where appropriate, and managing client expectations across categories

• Prioritise workloads and distribute projects accurately and in a timely manner to the internal Project Management team

• Analyse client forecasts and use to plan workload across the Project Management team, ensuring correct levels of resource are in place

• On-boarding of new team members and temporary support, making sure correct training and coaching is provided

• Making sure effective holiday cover is in place with detailed handovers

• Build a strong relationship and provide workload data to the extended production team. Take a flexible approach whilst ensuring timelines are achieved

• Work with the client to ensure delivery of fit for use artwork inputs

• Monthly reporting to client and provide clear communication and client updates

• Management of financial process

• Be a positive and calm representative maintaining a professional attitude at all times

Skills & Experience

• Knowledge of artwork, reprographics & print industry within brand packaging

• Demonstrate and actively promote a positive ‘can do’ attitude

• Strong people skills and the ability to take a lead where appropriate

• Strong organisational skills with ability to multi task

• Exceptional communication skills both verbal and written

• Astute attention to detail

Educational & Experience Minimum Requirements

This position requires the following knowledge and skills:

· High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Some College/Associate’s Degree preferred

· Equivalent of 4+ years of experience in the packaging industry. Ideally multidisciplinary experience.

Considerable experience with relationship management and Team management

Lean Business Solutions knowledge

French and English Proficient
