Job Description:

Summary of the role

• Looking for a QA Engineer having Automation skills with 3-10 years of experience in UI Automation, backend testing using Soap, Rest API and postman tool. UI Automation should be the primary skill. This role involves working with scrum team to write test matrix, designing the test scenarios for new developments, automation of the identified scenarios and also performing an end-to-end regression testing of Digital ecommerce solutions.
• Main Responsibilities
• Test matrix creation, test design, test creation and automation for new developments
• Collaborate with Scrum Master, Product Owner and engineering teams to have a good understanding of the product features
• Contribute to the implementation of automation principles across QA team, bring technology innovation in quality engineering and support the adoption of new technologies and tools
• Knowledge on UI automation using Robot framework and Python
• API Testing and develop automated test scripts using SOAPUI/ReadyAPI, Postman, Rest-Assured using xml or JSON
• Execution and analysis of the automated test campaigns to assess the health of the application
• Able to develop tools used for QA using relevant language
• Work as Individual Contributor & Mentor/Train resources on automation
• Responsible for running the end-to-end scenarios for the product to perform regression testing
• Open and follow up on defects to closure
• Debug or reproduce the problem tracking record raised by the customers in production
• Mentoring or provide training to junior QA engineers whenever needed
• Responsible for providing a clear consolidated status of the testing and to raise alarms if any

About the ideal candidate

• University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent
• Professional experience in using java, JavaScript, groovy, python and JSON
• Competence to work alone and with an appropriate level of supervision and guidance
• Expertise in working with backend applications in an agile environment
• At least 3+ years of hands-on Automation testing
• Effective communication of ideas and information, both verbally and in writing
• Knowledge of travel industry and related technologies a plus
