Train Design métier team is in charge to define, deploy and implement processes, métier rules and standard solutions for all rolling stock and components mechanical population worldwide. Within Central Engineering in Saint-Ouen, in the Train Design functional team, we are looking for a Knowledge Management Leader.

The job covers the metier referential management, the competencies & knowledge management, the training definition and its organisation, for key resources. It implies strong interaction with HR, Engineering central functions, experts and key operational roles.

Purpose of the job : Lead the development and the déployment of tools & KPI applicable to all ALSTOM Mechanical Developments:

  • Non-Recurring Cost prediction tool, for tenders
  • Earn value management and related progress KPI, for project execution

Interfaces with project performance and finance organizations and tools

Non-Recurring Cost prediction tool, for tenders :

  • Clarify needs and build a roadmap, in line with Alstom transformation program constraints
  • Manage the transfer into a global Engineering Tool,
  • Maintain the current tool, and supports users
  • Manage cost data base update (sites contributions, including STO in particular), motivate operational to contribute.
  • Include a risk & saving module in connection with functions initiatives implementation, and project challenge assessment

Earn value management and related progress KPI, for project execution :

  • Based on standard schedule, define the earn value measurement and its connection with the financial progress
  • Define the base physical progress KPI and their connection to the earn value measurement

After 1 year, take in charge all mechanical development KPI and management tool, including :

  • Tension KPIs (anticipate the difficulty to reach a transversal performance considering the decisions already locked, by the work progress, the target carry over, the anticipated procurement specifications,)
  • Decision control KPI
  • Global tool for activity follow-up, progress reporting, hours booking, deliverable validation and earn value measurement

Competencies & Skills

  • 5 to 10 years experience in an industrial domain, including 2 years in charge of re-occurring cost prediction in tender or cost & physical progress follow-up during project execution.
  • Experience in data modeling and data management tools specification, development and implementation
  • Industrial project execution milestones and general process
  • Tools development and deployment
