Alstom is recruiting a Train Validation Metier Manager for its Rolling Stock site located in Paris Saint-Ouen. You will join the Rolling Stock Team in Paris, an integrated team supporting the Group’s value creation by operationally delivering specific tenders and projects, as well as R&D and sustaining activities... We are developing projects such as Cologne tramway, electrical trains for Denmark, Irish Rail, the metro of Toulouse and more to come

The Train Validation Metier Manager is the owner of the Validation Process for the site. As a Train Validation Metier Manager, he/she will manage the validation staff (10/15 employees) and means at site level, including laboratories, and will be in charge to ensure proper validation activities across sites involve on projects developed from the site.

He/she will be accountable for deploying the standard processes and related methodologies and tools in order to ensure validation efficiency, awareness, continuous improvement at site level.

Being the owner of the Validation Process for one site, hes/she will provide (with the support of the team) tender Validation commitment and deliverables including schedule and quotation. During Project execution: he/she will support train validation engineer to meet projects validation commitments and activities, assuring the adequacy and consistency of the projects validation deliverables.

In terms of management, the Train Validation Metier Manager will be responsible for managing resources involved to execute validation work-packages, manage the people management cycle of the validation team (evaluation, training, etc.) to ensure team development.

What are we looking for this position ?

Minimum 10 years of experience of hands-on activities in several domain activities on multiple projects (at least 5 years in Railways or years Automotive domain or Aerospace domain)

Experience in team and project management : 5 to 7 years depending on the team size, multi-metiers or multi-sites team and project

Strong leadership and ability to federate teams on technical orientations

Technical skills : Train system knowledge (system analysis, railways) is a plus, Mastering of test means, Knowledge of Standards & Regulation, validation process

Fluent in English
